Hunting is a leading supplier of tubular goods to the oil and gas industry which is used in the drilling and completion of oil wells.
In addition to their pipe supply and finishing business, Hunting's extensive research programmes had led to the development of two revolutionary pipe treatment components that allow for the environmentally safe and operationally superior connection of pipe without the use of contaminating 'dope'. The products were, however, failing to live up to their full market potential.
Nuenco consultants worked with Hunting to develop a brand and market positioning strategy for this new product, the Clear-Run - Advanced Tubular System.
The Hunting Clear-Run Advanced Tubular System sets a new standard in Oilfield best practice, offering a high value alternative to traditional ‘dope-based’ storage and running processes. The system delivers greatly improved operational, commercial and safety performance. It also completely removes key negative environmental aspects of traditionally accepted industry practices making it compliant with the most stringent of international environmental legislation.
Nuenco consultants developed a comprehensive marketing strategy that created the Clear-Run brand, its website and other presentation material. Hunting have capitalised on the collateral produced through international trade shows, industry publications and direct client marketing activities.
The result of the branding and repositioning of Clear-Run is the realisation of new, $million revenue stream from two previously stranded products, now internationally recognised as an industry standard, environmentally zero-impact tubular connection technology system.
